Great cities have great transit systems. MetroLink is one of the most successful light rail systems in the country with 70,000 riders per day on a typical weekday and reaches as many as 100,000 on days with special events. Without MetroLink, St. Louis would not be at the level it is today. |

Where we Stand
in St. Louis after Proposition M The Greater St. Louis Transit Alliance is currently investigating alternative ways to fund the expansion and operation of the system. LATEST NEWS: In Jefferson City, SB 477 which would allow for the creation of transit development districts for the purposes of building and operating transit has passed out of the Senate Transportation Committee last week. Several groups testified in favor of the bill including CMT, The Greater St. Louis Transit Alliance, SEIU, RCGA, The City of St. Louis, KCATA and Springfield Utilities. For those of you in the capital on a regular basis, words and letters of support for the bill are greatly appreciated. Benefits
