As the backbone of one of the nation’s most highly acclaimed transit system, MetroLink has created transportation mobility opportunities for people across the region. More and more residents of St. Louis are choosing Metro to get to their jobs, schools, and entertainment destinations. Mobility has improved by:
Reducing congestion – with ridership up and vehicle miles traveled down, everyone wins! Commuters in cars as well as trains have resulted in an average of 45,000 less cars on the road each day.
Increasing access to jobs – 96% of all jobs and residents in St. Louis City and County are served by Metro, including most of the region’s largest employers like BJC Healthcare, Scott Air Force Base, Washington University, Saint Louis University, University of Missouri‐St. Louis, and AT&T.
Increasing access to education – local universities have access to Metro, as well as community colleges and high schools.
Increasing access to play – from sporting events to shopping to local festivals, Metro offers service including Cardinals, Rams, Blues and Billikens games; America’s Center, Union Station, casinos, Grand Center, the Touhill, and the Pageant; and parades, concerts, Race for the Cure, art fairs, and special events in the region.
In November we have the opportunity to keep St. Louis on the right track by voting Yes on Proposition M. Now is our time to invest in our region’s future: our children’s future in the region. With the successful passage of Proposition M, we will move forward –together.
